Founder & Director Roger Mehta is an accredited addiction counsellor & psychotherapist (APCP).

Roger’s family has been tragically affected by dual diagnosis, with the untimely loss of both his parents at a young age to the disorder. Additionally, his younger brother succumbed to the condition in 2009. In 1998, Roger embarked on his own path to recovery from dual diagnosis. His experiences have granted him a profound understanding of coping with and managing the effects of poor mental health and its associated substance misuse disorder.

Since the year 2000, he has undertaken voluntary work within the community, providing assistance to individuals and families and collaborating with the HSE (Health Service Executive of Ireland), specifically the South Tipperary Substance Misuse Team.

Throughout this time frame, he has served as an educator on drug and alcohol-related matters in multiple secondary schools sanctioned by the Department of Education. Additionally, he has offered support to inpatients at St Michael’s Psychiatric Hospital, Co. Tipperary. His role also involved acting as a community drug and alcohol facilitator with The Mid Tipperary Drug Initiative (MTDI).
